HAMREI, an Anglo-Brazilian artist and designer, stands at the forefront of sustainable luxury design, seamlessly blending creativity with a commitment to environmental consciousness.

Born and raised in a multicultural environment, HAMREI developed a deep appreciation for art and design from an early age. His diverse background, coupled with a passion for sustainability, laid the foundation for his unique approach to creativity.

After completing his formal education in design, HAMREI embarked on a journey to refine his skills and expand his horizons. His pivotal moment came when he joined forces with Pierre Yovanovitch, a renowned French designer, where he managed interior design projects across the United States and the United Kingdom. It was during this formative period that HAMREI began to cultivate his distinctive style, merging elements of sculpture and architecture into his designs.

“I’ve always been ambitious and of course the nature of those ambitions has changed with time. When I was a little younger my ambitions were far more materialistic; I wanted to own beautiful things — vintage cars, boats, planes, houses. Though some of these things remain on the list the priority is now lifestyle. My main ambition is to build a successful studio that stays true to its own style as it develops, that inspires others, and at the same if I can be near the sea and have time to see my friends and family I’ll be happy.” — Hamrei

In 2021, HAMREI took the leap and established his own studio, driven by a vision to revolutionize the luxury design industry. With a focus on sustainability, he sought to challenge the norms of fast fashion and promote longevity in design. His studio, now based in the vibrant city of Lisbon, serves as a hub for innovation and creativity, attracting clients from around the globe.

HAMREI's design philosophy is rooted in finding harmony between tradition and technology, craftsmanship and innovation. Each of his creations tells a story, reflecting his deep respect for the natural world and his desire to leave a positive impact on the planet. Ethics

HAMREI makes the artistic commitment to approach design by having a sustainable and ethical awareness.

Wherever possible materials are selected and sourced locally, toxic and non-recyclable materials are avoided, ethical options are favoured over harmful and craftspeople are favoured for their eco-conscious and animal-welfare awareness whilst maintaining the highest levels of craftsmanship and quality.
